2025 Rookie Drivers Tim Adams and Ken Sanders Look to Continue Their Racing Development in World Racing League for 2026

Eagles Canyon Raceway — STAK Racing with Rapscallion enters the 2026 World Racing League (WRL) season with renewed momentum as drivers Tim Adams and Ken Sanders return for their second full campaign in the highly competitive GTO class, once again piloting the Ligier JS2R.

Their 2025 rookie season was highlighted by steady improvement culminating in a season-high 2nd place finish at High Plains raceway and finally a 6th-place overall finish in the WRL GTO championship. The team and drivers used the off-season to refine both car performance and driver execution. The 2026 season kicks off at one of their home tracks, Eagles Canyon Raceway, just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

“After a season filled with growth, challenges, and hard-earned lessons, the STAK Racing team enters 2026 with renewed focus and confidence as the WRL season kicks off at Eagles Canyon Raceway,” said Tim Adams. “Over the off-season, the focus was clear: elevate driving, sharpen execution, and raise overall performance. The results will show. Our Ligier cars are running at their strongest level to date, and we’ll be pushing in the GTO field and showing real speed. The season opener brings together my STAK partner Kenneth Sanders, our professional coach Kevin Madsen, along with the full returning race team. While Eagles Canyon was a tough start in 2025, this year will tell a different story. We are ready.”

Sanders echoed the optimism, emphasizing the team’s technical and driver development since the conclusion of their inaugural season.

“After our inaugural season at STAK Racing, which saw the number 669 Ligier finish sixth overall in the points for the WRL GTO Class, we’ve used the off-season to ramp up the Ligier JS2R’s development to eliminate weaknesses and capitalize on strengths,” said Ken Sanders. “The same goes for the drivers, who’ve worked tirelessly with continued sim training as well as in-person coaching with Madsen Motorsports. We have big plans for the opening race at Eagles Canyon Raceway to showcase the improvements by the team and to have a great time with friends!”

Friends in and around the paddock have been very receptive to the team, with full support from the WRL series as well as Ligier, the renowned French automotive manufacturer that builds the JS2R. Ligier Automotive has a rich heritage in motorsports, including 20 years as a Formula 1 constructor. Their F4, F3, LMP3, and LMP2 cars continue to fill grids nationwide and around the globe in the highest levels of auto racing. Motorsport veteran and Ligier North America CEO, Mo Murray, spoke on the American JS2R effort.

“Ligier Automotive is centered around developing and building race cars that allow drivers at all levels to develop their careers and fulfill their driving ambitions. The Ligier JS2R is a car designed to do just that, whether racing in its own series in Europe – The Ligier European Series – or competing against all comers in a competitive environment like WRL. This car in the right hands is a winner. With Tim and Ken in the 669 car, this is a winning combination. We are very proud of their representation of the Ligier brand and look forward to much success with them and their teammates including Kevin Madsen and others soon to be announced.”

With a strong manufacturer relationship, a strengthened technical package, expanded coaching support, and a unified returning crew, STAK Racing heads into 2026 focused on converting progress into results. The Eagles Canyon season opener will serve as the first opportunity to demonstrate how far the program has come—and how high its ambitions now stand.
