Patel Joins Madsen, Kunzle for Repeat Podium Push at Barber Motorsports Park

Anik Patel drove with Kevin Madsen and Adrian Kunzle at WRL Eagles Canyon netting a 3rd place in the 8-hour race and now the driver trio targets the same or better at WRL Barber Motorsports Park this weekend.
Barber Motorsports Park — STAK Racing with Rapscallion Motorsport welcome Anik Patel back to the cockpit of the Ligier JS2R for the Alabama-based Barber Motorsports Park rounds of the 2026 World Racing League (WRL) season. Patel scored a 3rd place finish, along with co-drivers Kevin Madsen and Adrian Kunzle, at the opening race of the WRL season at Eagles Canyon. “I was excited to be back for the first round of WRL at Eagles Canyon, and now to join the team at STAK and Rapscallion in the Ligier at Barber,” said Patel. “The Ligier is a fantastic car, the team has done a lot of development on it, and it’ll be exciting to push it to the limit again this weekend.”
The event expands into the second year of racing with the Ligier JS2R for Patel. The journey has been marked by considerable success and growth. In 2025, Patel took 2nd place in the JS2R at two SCCA Majors debut races at Homestead-Miami Speedway as well as a podium at the SCCA Super Tour at Sebring. These races plus others, schools, car-control and sim time were part of an accelerated driver development program run by Madsen Motorsports. That intensive effort took Anik from zero racing experience to earning an FIA competition license in a couple months, laying the foundation for continued progress in global endurance racing.
Co-driver and coach for STAK Racing with Rapscallion, Kevin Madsen had this to say about Patel. “He’s a lot of fun to hang out with and I’m so glad he’s back for this round and maybe a couple others this season. He drove solid here (Barber Motorsports Park) last year in a different car and much like Adrian, he excels even more with the Ligier JS2R we’ve developed. I have high hopes for us as well as the number 669 car with Ken, Tim and my buddy Tom.”
